Education and Experience

Mr. Cutler is admitted to the Bar in both New York and Connecticut. He graduated Boston College in 2000, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science magna cum laude. In 2003 he graduated Syracuse University College of Law cum laude where he was an editor and executive board member of the prestigious Law Review. 

After graduating law school, Mr. Cutler joined Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty LLP in New York City as an associate attorney in the firm’s corporate department. After working at the firm for two years, Mr. Cutler left the firm to join Akerman LLP, which had just established a New York Office, and within 6 years after making the move he was promoted to shareholder (the functional equivalent of a partner). 

In 2014 Mr. Cutler left Akerman LLP and was hired as Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer of The Hamilton Group, a New York based investment management company. He served in that capacity from 2014 to 2019.  After leaving The Hamilton Group, Mr. Cutler went on to start his own law firm. 

In 2024, Mr. Cutler was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and several months later opened an office in Westport, Connecticut in order to expand his legal practice.
